Making Bills of Material--Practical

   

     Suppose, we want to define a BOM for ra_computer as shown in the above figure.  The   prerequisite is :

• We must have defined all the items which will be a part of BOM before making BOM
• While defining items, we must check the BOM Allowed in Bills of Management tab for all the items to be a part of BOM
•   Defined all the items at the leaves of the tree using Purchased item template, ra_cpu with subassembly template and ra_computer using finished good template

First of all, we will define a BOM for ra_cpu. Go to
Bills of Material responsibility
   --Bills
      --Bills
Now, define the BOM for ra_cpu Add the three items. Item seq and operation seq will be populated by default. Add the quantity also


Now, save and click on +/new symbol to define BOM for ra_computer
Define it in a similar fashion as above




Save.

Now again go to
Bills
-- Indented bills
We will be able to see the complete BOM of ra_computer and it also describles about the other BOMs used to make this Final assembly.
