We have successfully defined the organization but
when it comes to assigning items, we are not able to locate our newly defined
organization. Also, when we search for all the organization in Change
organization, still we are not able to view our organization.
If you have faced a similar dilemma, then it would
be a good read. I had faced a similar problem while learning apps so decided to
write a post on that.
Assuming you has successfully defined the
organization.
I have defined organization name ra_botanical_garden with code MBG in Inventory parameters.
Please note that this post is not about organization parameters. It is assumed that organization is already defined.
At this point, if we
want to assign items to this organization, we will not be able to find our
organization. It is because we have not added this organization in organization
access.
Go to setup-->organizations-->organizations access
Click on new and
search for the organizational code you have given for your organization
Add the Application
name Inventory and Name as main responsibility.
Now,
if we create any item and try to assign this item to our newly created
organization, we can simply do it as shown below
